Cathodic-protection design services and corrosion consulting from NACE-certified engineers.
Deepwater Corrosion Services began in 1986 as an offshore corrosion engineering and inspection company. While we still provide these services, our business has developed into designing and manufacturing solutions for the many corrosion problems we have encountered offshore with failing cathodic-protection systems. We have a large staff of NACE-certified corrosion engineers experienced in all aspects of cathodic-protection science, and we’ve encouraged them to produce innovative new products and methods to bring the science of cathodic protection up to speed with developments in today's cutting-edge energy market.
Planning for the future - While all of our consultants are experienced in traditional cathodic-protection design, the aging infrastructure in older oil fields has focused our efforts on developing smart, affordable methods to retrofit cathodic protection systems for mature assets worldwide. The results have been overwhelmingly successful. Deepwater has a suite of proven products, designed and manufactured in-house, for any type of offshore cathodic-protection installation.
A wealth of experience - Deepwater has been offering corrosion engineering services for over 25 years. In that time, the company has been hired to troubleshoot almost every type of corrosion failure possible. All of our engineers begin their training by designing traditional cathodic-protection systems while working alongside our more experienced engineers and project consultants to learn how to diagnose unique issues and recommend appropriate solutions. When cathodic-protection equipment is required, Deepwater manufactures hundreds of offshore systems each year and recommends only the highest-quality onshore equipment. If your problem is corrosion-related, we have the solution.
Abstract: New deep-water discoveries combined with current high energy prices have given much of the world's aging offshore infrastructure a new lease on life.
Pipelines and structures located offshore of Alaska face unique challenges in monitoring cathodic protection. Advances in cathodic-protection monitoring technology are discussed. New portable ROV instrumentation as well as fixed-monitoring of parameters affecting CP system performance...
As offshore structures around the world are aging, and in many cases reaching the end of their useful lives, operators are looking for ways to reduce costs on subsea maintenance without increasing the risk of failure. This paper presents three case histories...
The management of corrosion and integrity for offshore applications has become more critical as deep-water exploration and production continues. Repair, retrofit or replacement all become that much more difficult and costly due to logistics. ...

Deepwater has a N.A.C.E.- certified team that designs and engineers all types of cathodic-protection systems. Many of these designs have evolved from standard Deepwater products, the inclusion of which can be cost-effectively tailored to meet the needs of any offshore asset.
Deepwater is a leading provider of offshore cathodic-protection systems. We design using the most efficient technologies for the offshore market with a deep understanding of the unique challenges of installing cathodic protection to new and existing offshore structures or pipelines.
Deepwater specializes in providing life-extension cathodic-protection systems for aging infrastructure assets. Working within a complete asset-integrity management program, Deepwater has more experience retrofitting offshore structures than anyone else. In 2009 and 2010, Deepwater retrofitted cathodic protection to over 200 structures and 2,000 km of offshore pipelines worldwide.
Deepwater has an experienced team of engineers capable of designing systems to address the wide range of onshore corrosion-prevention requirements. Though we specialize in offshore, onshore engineering is still a large part of our experience base.
Our staff has extensive experience in auditing assets, providing corrosion control and cathodic-protection solutions for any given situation. In addition to FEED and detailed design / modeling, we also provide third-party review services, failure analysis and anode testing.
Deepwater can cover all corrosion inspections, including topside and submerged surveys. Our field services department has experience conducting detailed site surveys that provide reliable and meaningful data for our designers and engineers. All of our engineers have extensive on-site experience.
