In October 2007, Deepwater Corrosion Services, in conjunction with Alliance partners Hockway Ltd., performed the first phase of a complete cathodic-protection retrofit for Apache's Forties field in the North Sea. In 2006, Deepwater Corrosion Services, Inc. conducted a pipeline anode retrofit of an offshore process pipeline in Equatorial Guinea. The pipeline, located in 200 ft. depths, had low cathodic-protection potentials, prompting Deepwater's design team to select the larger, expanding version of the RetroSled system in order to re-polarize the pipeline quickly.
