Deepwater retrofits cathodic protection for the in-field flowlines on the Apache Forties field in the North Sea

In October 2007, Deepwater Corrosion Services in conjunction with Alliance partners Hockway Ltd. performed the first phase of a complete cathodic protection retrofit for Apache's Forties field, in the North Sea. Assets to be protected by "phase 1" consisted of: in-field pipelines, linking the 4 original Forties platforms (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta)   More info

RetroSled system used to replace failing cathodic protection on a pipeline in Equatorial Guinea

In 2006, Deepwater Corrosion Services, Inc. conducted a pipeline anode retrofit of an offshore process pipeline in Equatorial Guinea. The pipeline, located in 200 ft. depths, had low cathodic protection potentials, prompting Deepwater's design team to select the larger, expanding version of the RetroSled system, in order to re-polarize the pipeline quickly.   More info
