VSE™ Anode (Vaulted Seawater Envelope)
Impressed current cathodic protection for shallow water

Deepwater installs VSE, Raparound Anodes and RetroBuoy Jr. for a semi-arctic wharf in Canada

The existing cathodic-protection system on this dock / bulkhead was an impressed-current system constantly under repair. The maintenance costs exceeded $250,000 per year. The challenges of ice and high flow/tide conditions as well as brackish water made most designs inadequate.   More info

Deepwater installs new type of impressed-current anode system to protect wind farms in the Irish Sea

In June 2005, Deepwater supplied and supervised the installation of seven Vaulted Seawater Envelope (VSE) anode arrays on wind turbine monopiles in the Irish Sea.  Each monopile was retrofitted with one VSE and one transformer rectifier. These monopiles are located in 8 m -10 m water depths.   More info
