Bracelet Anodes
for Pipelines

Deepwater's aluminum and zinc anode bracelets are designed specifically for offshore pipelines.

Deepwater's aluminum and zinc bracelet anodes are cast in low-iron, high-purity alloys, and can be manufactured in diameters as from 3 inches to 48 inches, using our extensive inventory of water-cooled molds. Pipeline anodes are available in the following basic configurations:

Welded
welded pipeline bracelet
Tapered
tapered pipeline bracelet
Bolted
bolted pipeline bracelet

Quality Assurance of Aluminum Sacrificial Anodes (Paper)

Abstract: As greater emphasis is placed on quality assurance / quality control within the oil and gas industry, the demand for quality aluminum anodes has risen. Deep water projects and the rising cost of maintenance have created more third-party inspection work and better defined quality-test procedures for anode foundries.

Improvements in Offshore Pipeline CP & Life Extension (Paper)

Abstract: New deep-water discoveries, combined with current high energy prices have given much of the world's aging offshore infrastructure a new lease on life. Offshore pipelines in particular are at the highest risk of catastrophic external corrosion failure ...

Offshore Cathodic Protection System Management (Paper)

Abstract: As offshore structures around the world are aging and in many cases reaching the end of their useful lives, operators are looking for ways to reduce costs on subsea maintenance without increasing risk of failure. This paper presents three case histories ...

Key factors

1. Multiple Foundry Locations

The main foundry facility we utilize is located in minutes from Deepwater's headquarters in Houston, TX. Additionally, Deepwater has access to the MPE foundry in Kuantan, Indonesia. We are also currently evaluating many foundries in the UK and Europe, for possible inclusion into out suplpy chain. This allows us to deliver quickly to any market area.

2. State of the Art Technology

Both of our primary foundries are purpose-built facilities, each less than 5 years old, equipped with the best in available technology. This allows us to produce anodes with very specific chemical compositions, to meet any code requirement.

3. Experience

Our team has a long resume of excellence producing quality anodes. Mr. Jim Britton (CEO of Deepwater) has been responsible for many innovations in offshore corrosion control. He has specialized in the inspection and testing of anodes, and has been active on NACE committees associated with anode quality since 1980.
