Cathodic Protection Monitoring
Custom cathodic protection test panels

Topside cathodic protection potential test panels for any monitoring system under any conditions.

Our own monitoring panels are customized to suit specific customer requirements. The valuable data from your Polatrak cathodic protection monitoring system can be interrogated, managed, stored and distributed in many ways.

From the most simplistic handrail mounted manual stab panel, through PLC linked systems or satellite linked, internet based systems, all Polatrak panels are designed to be easy to use and reliable. Let us know what you want to do; we will provide the interface you require.

Applications

Offshore structures

For offshore structures, we offer test panels ranging from simple handrail mounted designs, interrogate by a simple volt meter, to fully integrated panels, operating in conjunction with the structures existing electrical systems.

SCADA interface

SCADA integrated panels are available. For more information, please contact us.

Onshore and offshore pipelines

Polatrak monitoring panels have been installed onshore and offshore for pipelines in every conceivable set of environmental conditions. Pictured right is an onshore panel installed in Alaska, for a pipeline operating in extremely low temperatures. Offshore pipelines can only be monitored with test panels near structures, but for deep water pipelines and area of pipelines where no convenient topside location is available, monitoring can be continued by ROV using the SunStation subsea readout.

Key design points

1. A large variety of interface options

Depending on the required application, Deepwater can provide test panels with all of the following options: manual plugs or integral meters, indoor or outdoor, local / remote data storage, SCADA interface, local / remote monitoring, etc.

2. Gives direct verification of CP performance

Permanent fixed monitoring systems allow instant verification of cathodic protection system performance at any time, without commissioning a full subsea cathodic protection potential survey (for offshore applications).
